Destiny PS4 Players Facing Lock Out After Purchasing The Dark Below

Currently limited to standalone DLC; Xbox One users not suffering.

Destiny The Dark Below

We’re several hours away from the launch of Destiny’s first expansion The Dark Below which will be out at midnight, December 9th. However, it seems PS4 players have been facing issues due to the DLC.

As revealed by several Reddit users, upon downloading the standalone DLC package (and not through the Season Pass), users would be locked out of playing the original game. A countdown timer would be present till the DLC’s release but it’s not possible to get past this countdown timer and continue playing the game on the PS4.

As of now, there’s no workaround (even deleting and re-downloading your game isn’t fool-proof, further compounded by PSN going down). Right now, it seems that it will only be removed following the DLC’s release.

Are you facing this issue or have you found a way to get past it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
