Gameplay from Destiny’s Rise of Iron has been cropping up through the week, ranging from the remastered Devil’s Lair Strike to the first story mission “King of the Mountain”. Arekkz Gaming has some more new footage, this time showcasing the new Archon’s Forge. Check it out below but be warned: Spoilers lie ahead.

Archon’s Forge, as described by Bungie, is a mix of Court of Oryx and Prison of Elders. There aren’t any major bosses with convoluted mechanics (at least not that we know of now) but it functions on the same principle: Use a SIVA offering and fight through waves of enemies within the time limit. At certain points, flaming axes will be available for the team to wreck havoc with. If you die and no one revives you, you can buy your way back in with a Splicer Key.

Like Court of Oryx, Archon’s Forge will have higher Light level Rare gear and weapons to help you ascend that much higher. However, it also includes its very own armour set at the higher levels which should be interesting to see.

Destiny’s Rise of Iron is out on September 20th for Xbox One and PS4.
