Destiny Rise of Iron

New footage for Destiny’s upcoming expansion Rise of Iron has emerged courtesy of Famitsu. To say that it’s spoilerific is an understatement – it showcases the journey to Felwinter Peak and the battle to retake it from the Fallen. Spoilers abound so turn back if you want to be surprised.

Rise of Iron is focused on the Iron Lords – or rather, the surviving Lord Saladin. A threat sealed away for many years – the entity known as SIVA – has emerged once more and it’s up to the Tower’s Guardians to join with Saladin before the Cosmodrome is overrun. The Fallen House of Devils are the main villains this time but with SIVA tech spliced into their bodies to allow for new abilities.

Along with new gear, a new zone called the Plaguelands and new enemies to fight, Rise of Iron will sport a new raid and new PvP maps. It’s out on September 20th for Xbox One and PS4.

Update: Footage has been taken down.
