What a surprise.

Bungie’s newest expansion for Destiny, Rise of Iron, finally went live on Xbox One and PS4. Unfortunately, as soon as the DLC came out, the servers immediately died.

Many players have reported seeing a message which simply states, “Destiny servers are not available. Dismiss this message to try again.” Others have reported receiving the error code “Tapir”. It’s somewhat understandable given the massive amount of players trying to log in. Then again, given how successful The Taken King was, you would think Bungie would know to anticipate server demand. You would think wrong.

Rise of Iron includes quite a lot of new content including new story missions, a new raid, new quests, a brand new zone called the Plaguelands, new PvP maps and much more. Sadly, it might as well have nothing right now because the servers are down. What are you doing until Rise of Iron is accessible? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned for more information.
