Destiny: Rise of Iron’s Aksis Challenge Mode Details Revealed

And it can be a doozy.

Destiny: Rise of Iron’s Wrath of the Machine raid has one of the more intricate final bosses in the series.

Aksis, Archon Prime’s second phase requires quite a bit of coordination as players must defeat various Captains to obtain Cannons, destroy Servitors of the corresponding element, throw SIVA charges at Aksis to stun him and then slam him with an empowered Guardian when he teleports to one of four places in the room. Empowerment can shift randomly and it’s during these stun phases that damage must be applied.

The Challenge Mode for Aksis further mixes it up by forcing you to supercharge a plate – of which there are three in the raid – and then slamming the boss. Missing a slam or failing to supercharge a plate for each teleport fails the challenge.

On the flipside, you don’t need to use all plates and it can theoretically be done with three people. Good luck finishing it with six though. For more details on what to look out for, head here.

What are your thoughts on the Challenge mode for this week and how there are apparently only two different Challenge sections in the raid? Let us know below.
