Destiny Servers Down for Maintenance From 8 AM to 12 PM PDT

Go play The Division in the meantime or something.

Destiny Iron Banner

Bungie’s Destiny recently had its servers taken offline for maintenance. This normally wouldn’t be a big deal but it’s Iron Banner week and you wouldn’t want to interrupt PvP players during Iron Banner week (despite the lag, unbalanced teams, leaving players and so on).

Maintenance will take place from 8 AM to 12 PM PST or 3 PM to 7 PM UTC. Don’t expect too many changes – it’s likely the maintenance is to simply ensure everything is running smoothly, which is to say that you can look forward to the same amount of lag in Iron Banner as, oh, the past 18 months or so.

Destiny will be heating up in the next few months with Rise of Iron, its next major expansion. Bungie showcased the new Cosmodrome last night – along with the Iron Gjallarwing that can be obtained on pre-order – and also teased some new Crucible content for Gamescom 2016. Rise of Iron will release on September 20th for Xbox One and PS4. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
