Destiny’s next big event will take start on December 13th with The Dawning. This is more than just the return of Sparrow Racing League as players will have new gear (at least, whatever’s not a reskin of old gear), new weapons (including two new Exotic bounties), Strike bounties and much more.

The new Strike Scoring system is interesting because it awards medals and points to players for their performance. Strikes like the Nexus, Omnigul and The Shadow Thief are being remastered with new SIVA Fallen thrown in but will Strike Scoring remain after The Dawning event is over?

As confirmed by Game Informer on Twitter, it will. Sparrow racing will also remain and can also be accessed as part of Private Matches. With four tracks total (two from last year), there should be a fair bit of variety this time around.
