Destiny The Taken King Hot Fix Changes Three of Coins, Fixes Issues

Change to consumable prevents Exotic farming from rapidly killing Ultras.

Destiny

The latest hot fix for Destiny: The Taken King is in and true to Bungie’s word, it changes the Three of Coins – a consumable which increases your chances of netting an Exotic engram when killing an Ultra enemy – to prevent Exotic farming.

However, the changes are actually pretty fair – if you’re rapidly killing Ultras then you’ll only receive a small increase per kill. It thus becomes more beneficial to use the Three of Coins between missions or when running the Strike playlist to ensure a better rise in Exotic drop rate.

The hot fix also fixes a number of different bugs including players who reached level 40 before turning in the “Reach level 30” quest not properly receiving the “Reach level 40” quest. Dismantling leveled Exotics also has a reduced chance of providing two Exotic Shards now. “High Value Targets” will now correctly reward Legendary Marks when completing the respective quest.

No word yet on the Black Spindle damage reduction fix but it’s most assuredly coming so stay tuned.
