Destiny The Taken King

Bungie seems to be no stranger to controversy these days especially when it comes to its online shooter Destiny. The game’s next big expansion The Taken King has already been embroiled in issues, ranging from the retirement of Year One legendaries to dancing emotes, and it didn’t help when Bungie announced that the new raid – King’s Fall – wouldn’t be available at launch.

While many pointed out that this was to allow players to get properly geared, similar to the vanilla game’s Vault of Glass which went live a week after launch, there was still doubt as to whether Bungie wasn’t using this opportunity to “finish” King’s Fall.

The developer since took to Twitter to reassure fans that, “The Raid for Destiny: The Taken King is done and will be released hot on the heels of launch. Gear up and get ready.”

At this point, it’s only looking all the more obvious that King’s Fall will be out a week later. Destiny: The Taken King will release on September 15th. When do you think the raid will drop? Let us know in the comments.
