Destiny: The Taken King’s raid, namely King’s Fall, will be going live at 10 AM PST today and is arguably the most anticipated piece of content in the expansion yet. The good news is that players who haven’t completed the many story quests – which have been a requisite in past expansions and the base game – won’t be stopped from accessing the raid when it goes live.

According to creative director Luke Smith on Twitter, “King’s Fall Raid access is not gated by ANY quest (no attunement). Hit 40, gear up, group up and when the activity is turned on, go nuts.”

Smith also offered some tips on Mashable about going into the raid. At this point, you’ll require 280 Light (the recommended level) to stand a chance. However, seeing as how Exotics are given on quest completion, there are plenty of weapons to be unearthed prior to attempting the raid.

Will you be going in blind to King’s Fall tonight? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
