Destiny The Taken King

Eyes up, Destiny fans – when The Taken King launches on September 15th, the new raid King’s Fall will not be accessible at launch. This is somewhat similar to the Vault of Glass which opened up a week after the original game released.

The news was confirmed by creative director Luke Smith when speaking to IGN at PAX Prime. “We definitely have a plan for when it’s going to be available. I’m not going to announce the plan for it on the YouTube gaming stage…But I promise for people who are excited about the raid will know when it’s time to take time off work. We’ll give em’ a heads up”.

In the meantime, that gives players time to play through the story, complete various side-quests, level up their new sub-classes, hit the level cap and experience all the other content that The Taken King will provide. Thoughts on the raid’s delay? Let us know in the comments.
