Bungie’s recently released Destiny is very much a multi-platform game, despite exclusive content on the PS3 and PS4 and a marketing deal in the UK that prevents Microsoft from marketing the game for its console. Perhaps as a result of the latter, Sony UK MD Fergal Gara told Eurogamer that the company views Destiny as a first party title for the console.

“We’re treating it, for all intents and purposes internally, as if it’s a first-party release. We’re wrapping our arms around it on all levels of the organisation. It’s a special project and an important project and it has the power to launch H. It’s hugely important.

“I think a lot of people are going to decide now is the time to go and buy a PlayStation 4 because this very ambitious project has come along that looks exciting.”

This is after Xbox division head Phil Spencer said that players shouldn’t dismiss the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.
