Destiny The Taken King

Bungie community manager David “DeeJ” Dague has provided an update on when update 2.0 for Destiny will be out today.

Posting on Twitter, Dague said the update would be out around, “Morningish. Before lunch is had by the West Coast.” This pretty much puts the time around 10 AM to 12 PM PST but we wouldn’t be surprised if it comes later.

Update 2.0 is expected to be a major game changer for Destiny. It not only overhauls all the weapon types and adjusts certain Exotics like Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker but also changes Ghost’s voice from Peter Dinklage to Nolan North throughout the entire game. You can also expect a new Quest interface and a free preview for The Taken King’s Crucible modes and maps before the expansion is officially out.

Either way, we’ll provide more information on when the update is out along with any intriguing features it adds after the patch notes drop. Destiny: The Taken King is out September 15th for Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360.
