Yesterday, Destiny received a new patch with update 2.3.1. Bungie released patch notes later and revealed that this would be the “last scheduled deployment” for Xbox 360 and PS3. The developer did promise that there would be “emergency fixes for future game-breaking issues” so it’s not dropping support for legacy consoles entirely.

The patch issues a number of different fixes like the damage over time effects of Solar attacks dealing only half the intended damage; the Intellect stat not generating the right amount of Super energy; and Electrostatic Mind on Stormcaller not providing Super energy from the Intellect stat.

A bug which also caused weekly activities to end before the weekly reset and one that resulted in players with a full Postmaster inventory not receiving the Moments of Triumph book (which is now available at said Postmaster).

The update is also meant to pave the way for Rise of Iron, releasing on September 20th for Xbox One and PS4. Bungie will be at Gamescom to show off new Crucible content from the expansion so stay tuned for more information.
