Destiny: Rise of Iron’s Wrath of the Machine went live with its Heroic mode at 2 AM PST on October 18th, leading many a clan to attempt world’s first completion. While many came close, Bungie has acknowledged Clan Die Busfahrer for world’s first on Twitter.

The Heroic mode of a raid in Destiny features a number of changes from the Normal one. Along with an increased Light level requirement (this time being 380 Light), there are several different changes to the mechanics of each fight. We won’t spoil it for anyone who still wants to go in blind but there are definitely surprises to be had.

With Wrath of the Machine Heroic going live, it’s now possible for players to earn gear to hit the 400 Light level cap faster. For example, the SIVA Crisis Heroic playlist and Archon’s Forge now drop loot at 385 Light. It’s also possible to gain 400 Light level items from Strike Hoard chests, Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner.

What are your thoughts on the Heroic mode of Wrath of the Machine? Let us know in the comments.
