Destiny Xur Inventory: The Stag, Telesto, Empyrean Bellicose

Another week of "meh".

Destiny

Exotic vendor Xur has returned to the Tower in Bungie’s Destiny, carrying a new assortment of Exotics that you won’t need. You can find him by the Vanguard, where he will remain until 2 AM PST.

This week, Xur has Empyrean Bellicose (Titan helm), Crest of Alpha Lupi (Hunter chest) and The Stag (Warlock helm) each for 13 Strange Coins. They’re all kind of average in their implementation – Bellicose gives Titans the perk “Angel of Light” and allows them to float in mid-air while aiming down sights. The Stag lets Warlock Supers charge quickly if all other teammates are down. And so on.

The Exotic weapon this week is Telesto, a fusion rifle that retails for 17 Strange Coins. Think of this as Destiny’s version of Halo’s Needler. It fires Void pellets that can stick a target and explode after a delay. Kills have a chance of spawning Orbs of Light, making this fairly underrated during Void Burn strikes. The Legacy Engram for this week is Year One Special Weapons and costs 31 Strange Coins apiece.
