Destiny’s House of Wolves Expansion to Allow Legendary Upgrades?

Is a Fatebringer with 365 Attack really possible?

As with every new expansion for Destiny, Bungie will look to raise the Light level and maximum damage for Legendary and Exotic equipment with House of Wolves. While it bungled the Exotic upgrade process in The Dark Below, the developer has promised to improve the process this time around.

In fact, on April 22nd, Bungie will provide a “Walking tour of the The Reef, with a live discussion about the upgrade paths for your gear.” The above image of the Fatebringer – a Legendary hand cannon from the Vault of Glass that may consider to be the best in the game – was also provided. This is perhaps the first real indication that old Legendary equipment will be upgraded to keep up with the damage output of each new expansion.

Many other questions also arise from this new development. Will this apply to all Legendaries? Will Legendary Gear be upgradeable? What will the new Vendor gear provide to make it worth a purchase? We’ll wait for more information before jumping to conclusions.

Destiny’s House of Wolves releases on May 19th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4.
