There’s been no end to the rumours surrounding Destiny’s next expansion House of Wolves. With data-miners uncovering everything from vendor gear (which seemed to be placeholders) to the release date and even mission names, Bungie has been rushing to refute and clarify many of the leaks seen.

However, one of the recent leaks indicated that House of Wolves would introduce a new social space similar to the Tower in the Reef. It’s interesting because as pointed out, Bungie actually did show off the Reef in the first official announcement trailer for Destiny. It sounds crazy but it’s true. Check out the trailer here – you’ll see a Guardian walking through a hangar, as wrecked ships can be seen outside and Fallen patrol on the inside.

Of course, this isn’t to say that this will be the same Reef in House of Wolves or even if it will be a social space at the end of the day. Regardless, it seems to be one of the many things scrapped en route to Destiny’s current form. We’ll find out if it makes a return, in some shape or another, when House of Wolves releases in Q2 2015.
