Destiny’s Iron Banner Cancelled Due to Various Issues

The same issues plaguing Trials of Osiris have affected Iron Banner.

Destiny Iron Banner

This past weekend, Destiny’s Trials of Osiris was cancelled without much information on why. With Iron Banner set to start today, it seems the same issues that cropped up over the weekend have affected it as well since Bungie just announced its cancellation.

According to the developer on Twitter, “Due to the same issue that prevented players from joining matches in Trials of Osiris, we are also cancelling Iron Banner for this week.”

That’s not all though. Players also complained of damage not properly registering during matches and data for characters not loading. Though Destiny has had issues in the past with hit detection and connections, this is probably the first time that two major PvP events have been cancelled over the same.

There’s currently no word on when these issues will be resolved so stay tuned during the week for more information. What are your thoughts on Iron Banner going out the window? Let us know in the comments.
