Destiny

The Iron Banner will be returning to Bungie’s Destiny today at 10 AM PT and if you’ve ever wanted to find out where you stand in the fires of the Crucible, this is your ticket.

As of now, only two pieces of Legendary equipment are confirmed for Iron Banner: The Helm, which has been sought after since the beginning, and which can be used to bring Guardians up to level 32. Unlike previous iterations, you won’t be able to access Iron Banner from the Crucible playlist menu. You’ll need to navigate to it from the destination screen, clicking on the icon above the Daily Story, Weekly Heroic and Nightfall icons.

Iron Banner isn’t like normal Control. In this PvP game mode, level differences and equipment are scaled to affect players, thus granting powerful advantages to higher level Guardians. This isn’t to say that lower level Guardians can’t take part – the minimum level of a Fireteam leader can be 20 – but they’ll have a tougher time taking on some of the more skilled veterans.

Stay tuned for more information on Destiny, especially tomorrow when information will be revealed about the upcoming Trials of Osiris and House of Wolves’ Crucible maps.
