Destiny’s newest expansion, Rise of Iron, was possibly leaked earlier this week- and since this expansion promises to be the first major update for the game since The Taken King released in September last year, fans are understandably excited about it, and everything that it may represent.

According to a very interesting observation made by the sharp Redditer Fuzzle_hc, it appears as though the new expansion may be taking place in Cosmodrome, Old Russia- he specifically calls attention to a certain sign, the pillars, and just the structure in the leaked image that seems to align with Old Russia. This would mean this expansion would be plumbing the depths of an otherwise generally not as well fleshed out location in Destiny.

That would definitely endear it to fans- and hopefully, the new expansion will also hopefully make better provisions for continued endgame activities. While The Taken King‘s mechanical overhaul of Destiny was appreciated, it did lead to a paucity of content in the end game- hopefully, the new expansion avoids that pitfall.
