The weekly refresh has come and gone for players of Bungie’s Destiny, which means another chance at raids, maxing out one’s Vanguard and Crucible marks and much more. It also means a new Nightfall and Weekly Heroic mission.

This week will see players returning to Mars to face Valus Ta’aurc of the Cabal. This Strike is infamous for its long stretches and irritating end boss but the modifiers implemented make it even more of a challenge. “Epic” bestows heavier shields and more aggressive enemies in higher numbers while “Lightswitch” will make enemy melee attacks hurt that much more so beware of the Cabal Phalanxes. It’s even more annoying to face the Phalanxes because of “Angry” which means enemies won’t flinch. “Juggler” means no ammo for your equipped weapon, encouraging weapon switching and then there’s “Nightfall” which returns all players to orbit if the fireteam dies.

The Weekly Heroic, a source of Strange Coins to purchase Exotics from Xur, only has “Heroic” (more aggressive enemies in greater numbers) and “Lightswitch” as modifiers so it will be a significantly easier task. Head here for one strategy on beating Valus Ta’aurc at the end.
