After Lizard Squad DDOSed both Xbox Live and PSN on Christmas Day, both services are still struggling to get back on track. PSN is still apparently down while Xbox Live experiences issues on an intermittent basis. This is a problem for players of Bungie’s Destiny whose Exotic Gear merchant Xur shows up every Friday and leaves by Sunday. If you can’t log on, how will you possibly upgrade your Exotics?

Thankfully, Bungie has extended Xur’s stay in the Tower. Writing on the official forums, community Manager David “DeeJ” Dague stated that, “We understand that Xur has been hard to reach for a lot of you this weekend, so we’re going to extend his stay. Our current plan is to allow him to remain in the Tower with his current inventory until Monday night at 10pm PST, just before the weekly reset.

“We’ll also keep an eye on the overall situation, and prolong the extension, as needed, for as long as is feasible. Next week, Xur will return to his regular schedule, with refreshed inventory.”

Hopefully issues will be cleared up before then. Have you been able to reach Xur? Let us know in the comments.
