One should never underestimate the demand for a good remake of a classic game. That’s something that’s been proven time and again with plenty of remakes in recent years, and it seems another recent one – Destroy All Humans! from developer Black Forest Games – has also come along and done very well for itself.

During the recent quarterly financial briefing for Embracer Group, parent company of the game’s publisher THQ Nordic, CEO Lars Wingefors said that the Destroy All Humans! remake has exceeded the company’s expectations, and in terms of both sales and how it has been received by the community, the game is performing better than what Embracer had internally projected. No hard sales figures were given, but clearly it’s gotten off to a good start since launching late last month- perhaps this will mean that THQ Nordic will continue investing in the IP.

Destroy All Humans! is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also confirmed to be coming to Stadia, but that version doesn’t yet have a release date. Meanwhile, you can read our review of the remake through here.
