Possible Details About Respawn’s Next Game Emerge

What is the Titanfall developer working on?

Respawn Entertainment had a fairly strong debut when Titanfall launched for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC earlier this year, although it wasn’t quite the genre changing, generation defining game that many expected it to be.

All eyes have since been on Respawn- EA’s comments led to widespread speculation that there would be a Titanfall 2, this time coming to the PlayStation 4 as well. However, new details about Respawn, coming from a new job listing on their website, indicates that the new game may actually be a third person action adventure game with a skill tree.

“Experience working on 3rd person action/adventure games, demonstrating major contributions in the areas of hero control schemes, enemy design, navigation mechanics, and combat,” the listing reads.

“Respawn is seeking a Senior Systems Designer to embrace and contribute to the project vision, specifically in the areas of hero control/mechanics, enemy design, AI behaviors, combat/weapons, class design, skills/progression, story, and boss encounters,” the posting reads.

Of course, this is not to say that Respawn is not working on Titanfall- they might just be adding skill trees to Titanfall, or a substantial single player component. Remember, this is all speculation based on just a job listing. Who knows what’s going on behind the scenes at that studio?
