Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Footage Reveals New Gameplay Mechanics

I did ask for this.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided looks absolutely awesome- seriously, it is looking like one of the best games of this generation, and the fact that it is so close to release – it launches in February next year – makes the excitement palpable. If you needed any more reasons to be excited for the game, this brand new footage for the title, courtesy of Outside Xbox, will give you plenty, as it reveals some new gameplay mechanics in this game that will build on and eclipse the nuance and depth that 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution came to be known for.

The new mechanics highlighted here include a revamped cover system, as well as remote hacking, and granular weapons customization, all of which should theoretically enable more flexibility in how you approach and play the game. It’s also adding the RPG back into Deus Ex, for which I am devoutly thankful.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided launches on February 23 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
