Hideaki Itsuno, the man behind Capcom’s beloved and stylish character action franchise Devil May Cry, has taken to Twitter to tease his new upcoming game again. The game is currently unannounced, so we don’t officially know what it is- but all indications are that it will be a brand new Devil May Cry game.
Speaking on Twitter, Itsuno-san apologized to his fans that he had been unable to show off the game this year, as he had originally intended, but promised that development was coming along well, teasing that it was now “under climax”- a knowing nudge and wink at Devil May Cry.
The last numbered Devil May Cry game came out all the way back in 2008- while we did get the Ninja Theory helmed DmC: Devil May Cry reboot after that, this will be the first mainline entry in the series in a decade (presuming it actually is DMC, which it almost certainly is).
Sorry to not announce anything at TGS2017.
Please wait as my project is progressing smoothly.TGSは発表無しでゴメンなさい。プロジェクトは順調なので発表までお待ち下さい。
