DICE Artist Recreates Halo 4 Concepts With CryEngine 3

Posted By | On 05th, Jul. 2012

Have you been looking at the recent Halo 4 images and videos, and thinking to yourself that it could look far better than it already does? You’re obviously not the millions that 343 Industries is targeting.

Some argument could still be made that the newest game in the series looks significantly better than it’s predecessors. And this is the XBox 360, with a new generation of consoles edging ever closer.

An artist at EA DICE, who’s worked on Battlefront 3, thought differently. Rense de Boer thought Halo 4’s environments and weapons could look even spiffier in CryEngine 3. And it’s hard to argue with his results.

Head on over to his portfolio to view all the images he’s created. Sure, it’s little more than a fun exercise, but it all still looks damn good.

Halo 4 is developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Game Studios exclusively for the XBox 360. It will be released on November 6th.
