DICE Comments On PS Vita Compatibility For Battlefield 4

In a recent interview with IGN Lars Gustavsson, the creative director of DICE, the team behind Battlefield 4, some new details were revealed about the latest installment in the enormous battlefield franchise. The interviewer at IGN amassed from a list of over 2,500 comments, the most frequently asked questions about Battlefield 4, to which Gustavsson responded.

In one specific part of the interview, Gustavsson responded to questions regarding the PS Vita’s compatibility with Battlefield 4, and if there will be any integration between handheld and console versions.

When asked whether or not Battlefield 4 will be on the PS Vita via the PS4’s remote play capability:

“That is the intent. That’s something we’re looking into and working on to see if we can guarantee it.”

When asked if there plans to integrate the PS Vita version with the game’s Commander mode, similar to how tablets are:

“No, that’s not in the plan today at least.”
