DICE: “Priority is Balance, not Features”; PS3 input lag complaints and bugs detailed

Posted By | On 06th, Dec. 2011

The Karkand Map Pack is already available for PS3 owners, but behind the scenes, DICE is still doing a lot of fixes to the core game. Alan Kertz, who works at DICE revealed some new things that DICE is tackling right now.

He said that their priority is fixing the game, and balancing it well instead of adding new features at this stage.

When asked about scope toggle, Kertz said, “It’s still on my list, priority right now for me is balance not features.”

So if you are worried about those little things that majority of BF3 gamers don’t care about, don’t expect it to be fixed. He also knows about the PS3 input lag, and while it was revealed to be fixed in the recent patch, some users were still complaining about it.

As you can see from the video it’s still prevalent.

Update: This video is no longer available.

DICE hasn’t responded to these complaints, especially after the November 30 patch.

Kertz also mentioned that the 4 ammo/rounds in the UGL w/o frag spec was a known bug.

For people wondering why the third-person animations take ages compared to the first person one, it’s because DICE limited to just 1 animation for it. “Sadly we are limited to just 1 animation in 3P for reload,” said Kertz.

We will keep you updated once we get more information from DICE. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
