Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was widely praised upon its launch in September, which, combined with the excitement it generated leading up to release, meant success was all but guaranteed for the game- and that has certainly proven to be the case, with the shooter continuing to add numbers to its growing player base.
In an update on publisher Focus Entertainment’s official forums, it’s been announced that Space Marine 2 has now exceeded 5 million players across all platforms since its launch over two months ago. In October, Focus announced the game had amassed 4.5 million players, while prior to that, the game had exceeded 2 million players in its first two days.
Developer Saber Interactive is also releasing a new patch for Space Marine 2 in the first half of December that will add a new Operation and cosmetic options, among other things, while the game is also adding PS5 Pro support.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
