Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s next major patch is set to go live not long from now, and over on its official forums, publisher Focus Entertainment has shared details on some of the highlights that players can look forward to with the imminent update.

Patch 5 will go live in the first half of December, and is set to add a new mission in the co-op PvE mode Operations. Titled Operation: Obelisk, the new mission is set parallel to the main campaign’s final events, and will see players traveling to Demerium in order to disrupt the energy that’s protecting the Aurora device. You’ll also make your way through a pitch dark tomb, and even take on a new Majoris enemy type in the form of the Tzaangor Enlightened, the newest addition to the Chaos forces. Players can expect to see the Tzaangor Enlightened in all Operations related to the Chaos after Patch 5 releases, not just Operation: Obelisk.

Another significant addition confirmed for Patch 5 is support for DLSS and FSR 3, while you can also look forward to new cosmetics with the Dark Angels Chapter Pack, which adds a new armour set and banner for the Bulwark class, a unique Dark Angels Storm Shield, new heraldry items, and new skins for the Auto Bolt Rifle, the Plasma Pistol, and the Power Sword.

The patch will also add new armour pieces, and new customization options in the form of coloured lenses, with 15 different colours available. Meanwhile, Space Marine 2 is also adding PS5 Pro support. Read more on that through here.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It has surpassed 5 million players since releasing in early September.
