DICE to whitelist official servers on the PC

Posted By | On 05th, Oct. 2011

DICE will whitelist all the official servers on the PC, according to EA. If you are playing on an un-official server, be warned, as you could be banned. DICE had already mentioned earlier in a forum post that you could lose your Origin account if you end up joining an un-official server.

While we think it is really harsh, EA owns the servers, so you got to play by the rules. Johan Andersson who works at DICE, and is commonly known as ‘Repi’ revealed that DICE are leaving Direct X10 behind, and while that means no BF3 for people with a DX 9 card, it also pushes the graphical ceiling on the PC.

I had recently previewed the multiplayer beta on the PS3, and it’s a mess technically but the gameplay is amazing. You can check out the preview here.

So to enjoy the game you need a Direct X10 or 11 capable card to experience it in its full glory. The game will release on October 25th for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.

While you’re here, check out these hilarious glitches from the beta.
