It was a teaser for Mirror's Edge Catalyst.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst

DICE got its fans into quite a tizzy last week, when it started talking a big new reveal. DICE’s Randy Evans made sure to build up the hype, announcing on Twitter that “people don’t even know what’s coming.” Quite a few fans thought the company was going to be showing off Battlefield 5, the game is expected to land later this year after all.

What DICE was hyping was the new trailer from Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst which is certainly a game people are plenty excited about, but isn’t a game that people were hoping was going to get shown off. One of the reasons people aren’t as excited about it is because it’s not a yearly release, which means it doesn’t have anywhere near the following. At the same time, the good news is that this game is going to be coming sooner than any new Battlefield game.

Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst got the big reveal thanks to the story trailer. There hadn’t been much known about that game until the trailer was released. Now we just have to sit and wait until the company is actually ready to shed light on just what Battlefield 5 will offer and when it will be offering that particular reveal.
