Digimon Cyber Sleuth Hacker's memory

The Digimon series is an interesting one. Beginning as largely a Pokemon styled monster collection game, the franchise has since experimented a good deal with the basics, part of which lead to some recent RPGs, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory. The two are being combined for the Complete Edition later this year, and today a trailer was released to break down the core mechanic of raising and training your Digimon.

If you’re not familiar with either game, you can check out the trailer below. The games feature up to 3000 Digimon, which you scan, collect and train to join you on your adventure. There’s various ways you can also alter them, as well, and improve their stats and abilities.

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition will release October 18th for Switch and PC. The games are also available individually right now on the PlayStation 4. It will hopefully tide you over until Digimon Survive next year, which also promises a very unique take on the franchise.
