Digimon-Survive

As long running series continue on there comes a point when they have to go down two paths. You either get to a point where you have to reinvent yourself, or you decide to rest of your laurels and continue producing more or less the same content with minor tweaks here and there. One thing you can say about the Digimon franchise is that it certainly isn’t afraid to go down the road of reinvention as evident by a game like Digimon Survive. And today we got a look at the game’s opening.

Released to the public for the first time after being shown at Anime Expo 2019, the game’s opening is an interesting mix of mundane school life with some outright eerie parts throughout. It’s a good open for the game that promises to be a unique blend of various genres.

Digimon Survive was originally slated to come out this year, but suffered a delay as announced at the Expo. Now it’s scheduled to come out in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
