Publisher 2K Sports and developer Visual Concepts have released a new trailer for upcoming pro-wrestling game WWE 2K25, this time focusing on the new 2K Showcase. While the mode has focused on the careers of many different pro-wrestlers in the past, the latest entry is all about the legacy of Samoan wrestlers throughout WWE’s history.
Titled The Bloodline’s Dynasty, the trailer highlights various members of the expansive Anoa’i family, spanning several eras. A full list of matches that will be part of the game mode has also been revealed, which you can check out below.
While telling the story of various pro-wrestlers from the Bloodline, the whole thing will be narrated by ECW founder Paul Heyman, currently referred to as The Wiseman. The trailer also emphasises that players can change history by making certain stories go in new directions.
All in all, the Showcase mode is split into three distinct modes: Relive History, Change History, and Create History. While the first two are pretty self-explanatory, the third will feature what-if scenarios where various wrestlers from different eras will take on opponents in anachronistic matches that didn’t occur in real-life.
Unlike other game modes, simply winning in Showcase mode won’t be enough. Players instead have to focus on completing a variety of sub-objectives that end up with the in-game matches mirroring their real-world counterparts.
Earlier this month, WWE 2K25 got another trailer showcasing its main multiplayer hub, known as The Island. In this new hub, up to 50 players can hang out and interact with each other in various ways. There will also be different zones themed around specific WWE Superstars and a host of customisation options for custom characters.
WWE 2K25 is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
