Disgaea 2
While everyone and their brother was enamoured by the first Disgaea, my descent into darkness didn’t begin until Nippon Ichi Software’s Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories released for the Playstation 2. That was my first time with a game that had no rules – where you were truly free to craft the characters and classes you wanted, and fight the way you wanted.

In preparation perhaps for the upcoming updates, NIS American announced that Disgaea 2 will be making it’s way to PSN as a Playstation 2 Classic. It will be available for $9.99 USD on January 22nd.

In Disgaea 2, you play as a new character named Adell who must combat a demon lord known as Zennon in his attempt to cure his family from a demonic curse. of course, when Zennon’s daughter shows up out of the blue from a botched summoning, Adell is left to journey forth and try to make sense of the madness happening (which wouldn’t be complete without cameos from the first game’s characters).
