Disgaea 4 Recieves A Return Debut Trailer

A trailer for the Vita version.

Posted By | On 01st, Nov. 2013

We have got a new trailer from the  upcoming latest entry in the Disgaea series. It seems the title will be released for the PlayStation Vita. While the trailer is in Japanese, we can get a good feel for the character design and voice acting that will be featured in game. Also, it looks like there will be some fully animated cutscenes, which are always a treat.

Disgaea is known for it’s style of mixing traditional JRPG elements with the ever popular tactical style of combat – that is a board based system, similar to table top game such as Warhammer, in which your character can move X number of blocks on a given turn and can perform Y moves based on their proximity to enemies/allies.

The game was actually previously released in 2011 on most major platforms, and is finally seeing a release for the PS Vita. The critical reception of Disgaea 4 was generally positive, earning the game an 80 out of 100 on the aggregate rating site, Metacritic. Hopefully the newly tweaked and improved PS Vita version will boast enough new elements to raise that score by a few points.
