Arkane Studios’ critically acclaimed Dishonored won the Best Game Award at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ 2013 Video Game Awards ceremony.
Ironically, this was the only award that Dishonored actually claimed, losing out on two other categories it was nominated in. The biggest winner of the night would have to be thatgamescompany’s digital PSN title Journey which won awards for Original Music, Artistic Achievement, Game Design, Audio Achievement and Online Multiplayer.
Telltale’s The Walking Dead Episodes also had a strong showing, with awards in Story, Performer, and Mobile & Handheld categories. Valve’s head honcho Gabe Newell, as was announced prior to the ceremony, received this year’s BAFTA Fellowship Award.
Other notable winners include The Room for Best British Games and The Unfinished Swan for Games Innovation. Any nominees or award winners you don’t agree with? Or did the BAFTA more or less get it right this time around?
