Dishonored Dev: ‘I Didn’t Say Nothing Dishonored Related Would Ever Come Out Again’

Lead Designer Ricardo Bare wants to assure fans that the studio is not done with the series.

The developers of the Dishonored series had revealed some time ago that the series is on a hiatus for now. Later on, Bethesda’s Pete Hines clarified that this just meant that the developers will move on to other projects, not that they won’t ever be coming back to the series whatsoever. However, it looks like some fans have wrongly interpreted the developers as having said that they’re done with the series for good. Following that, the developers have now confirmed that this is not the case.

Ricardo Bare, Lead Designer at Arkane Studios spoke to DualShockers at a recent Bethesda event, and he spoke about how many people interpreted their previous statement to mean that they were done with the Dishonored seriesHowever, Bare clarified that what they meant is that there won’t be any new games in the series coming out in the immediate future. He stated, “I didn’t say nothing Dishonored related would ever come out again. I just meant there’s nothing coming out in the immediate future related to Dishonored.”

Given that Dishonored is the series the developers are best known for, it makes sense that they will return to it at some point. For now, let’s just look forward to the other projects that the studio is working on, whatever those might be.
