Near the very end of its Kickstarter run, Divinity: Original Sin 2, the sequel to last year’s scintillating PC exclusive cRPG, has met another couple of stretch goals for the game- romance will now be included in the game, much like so many other RPGs, western or Japanese; unrelated (I hope), players will also be able to use a Shapeshifting mask.
In addition to all of this, GoG.com, which has pledged $10,000 to the Kickstarter campaign, has announced, in association with the developers Larian, a “community brainstorming session.” This session will invite input from players to help create a memorable character to be featured in the game.
So yes, it sounds like development is going full steam ahead on this game, which appears as though it will be bigger and better than the original game in every possible way. It also helps that Larian has picked up some good talent since the launch of the first game too.
