DmC Devil May Cry Developer Diary: The Faces Behind the Madness

A closer look at the baddies of DmC.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a game more hated or reviled before release right now than Ninja Theory’s upcoming DmC: Devil May Cry, published by Capcom. As a reboot to the series, pushing new looks for Dante, Vergil and introducing a brand new universe with themes of corruption, rebellion and thought control, it’s hard to believe that so many people would dislike it as it is now.

Regardless, a new trailer showing the faces behind DmC has been released, where we see the excellent motion acting and voice work that goes into two of the antagonists – Lilith and Mundus. A few snippets on the overall theme and direction, such as corporate power, good vs. evil and obeying authority are also touched upon.

Now we’re not expecting “Shakespearan” drama but does it really look so awful? Have a look at the rather jarring development diary and be your own judge.

DmC: Devil May Cry is out on January 15th 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
