Don’t Expect Street Fighter X Tekken Before 2012

Posted By | On 26th, Jul. 2010

It was arguably one of the best announcements in quite some time for fans of the fighting game genre. When Capcom and Namco announced that they’d be bringing not one but two crossovers of their respective fighting franchises, there were quite a few who were thrilled.

However, don’t harbour any hopes of getting your hands on this title anytime soon. Speaking to Japanese magazine Famitsu, Capcom exec  Yoshinori Ono said that the game is being targetted for a 2012 release date.

There will also be a second, Namco led version, Tekken X Street Fighter, which is reportedly going to hit the stores after Street Fighter X Tekken.

Both games are due to hit the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
