Dontnod’s Vampyr Releasing on June 5th, New Gameplay Revealed

Life is Strange studio's action RPG receives a new release date.

Dontnod Entertainment’s Vampyr, an action RPG where every NPC would be the basis for your next level up, will be releasing on June 5th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The release date was confirmed in the fourth episode of the webseries that focused development. New gameplay footage can also be seen which we advise checking out below.

Through it was originally meant to release in November 2017, Vampyr was delayed to Spring 2018 to allow more time for polish. The game appears to have seen another delay with its release in June but that just means even more time to flesh out the game’s epic premise.

Vampyr focuses on Jonathan Reid, a doctor who’s recently been turned into a vampire during the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic. With the setting divided into numerous districts, Reid must ultimately make decisions to either save or harm the people around him. Forming closer bonds with some NPCs will actually result in larger XP returns if you decide to feed on them but could de-stabilize some districts significantly until they’re eventually overrun.
