Bedroom coders rejoice! The kind folks at id software will be releasing the source code for their acclaimed game DOOM3 following the release of their upcoming title RAGE. Design legend John Carmack confirmed the release today at QuakeCon 2011. Releasing source code has become a bit of a QuakeCon tradition, with Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Return to Castle Wolfenstein having been opened up last year.
