Dragon Age: Inquisition

Dragon Age Inquisition, excellent though it may be, was not without its post launch hiccups. The game sported a number of bugs and glitches that were more than a little bothersome to gamers that had jumped into the game as early adapters.

Bioware have since set out on a mission to help improve the game by way of patches that they are issuing in an attempt to fix the game. Well following the latest patch, PC players have been suffering a rather noticeable hit to the games graphical fidelity. Luckily, with the PC gaming community having more than its fair share of clever-clogs, a workaround has been found.

First, ensure that your graphic settings are equal to that of your Mesh Quality options. Then you need to add a new command parameter. Fret not, this is simple enough for those of you that have ever tweaked anything in your games. Through your Origin launcher, right click on Dragon Age Inquisition and go to the games properties. Then type the command lines properties into the box. [Command line found below in bold type]

If using a shortcut, follow these steps. Right Click > Properties > Go to the end of the text in the Target field and type the command line properties.  [Command line found below in bold type]

-ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel <quality setting>

Where the text reads <quality setting> you should input your chosen level of graphics settings as mentioned above.

Note, when a fix arrives for the graphical error, you will need to manually undo this alteration or you may face more problems with your game, so proceed with caution and at your own discretion.
