Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO’s Opening Movie Will Tickle Your Nostalgia Bone

Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft's 3D arena fighter is set to launch later this week for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO

Dragon Ball fans have been waiting for a new Budokai Tenkaichi game for close to two decades at this point, and with the series’ long awaited successor, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO set to launch imminently, excitement surrounding it is building at a rapid pace. Now, Bandai Namco has also shared the game’s opening cinematic. 

The upcoming arena fighter’s opening movie showcases a number of beloved characters from across different eras of Dragon Ball going at it against each other in typically explosive fashion, all against the backdrop of music that fans of the anime will find familiar. For fans of both, the Budokai Tenkaichi games and Dragon Ball in general, the cinematic certainly does a lot to strongly appeal to your sense of nostlgia. Check it out below. 

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is due out on October 11 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, though advanced access will begin on October 8 for those who purchased the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition.
