Tomorrow will see the release of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. While we’ve played through the Z saga about a million times, this is the first time in a long while since we’ve done so in a RPG. The game will have recreations of classic moments as well as alternate story lines that expand on side characters. Now the beginning of the game is here and fans will find it familiar.

Via IGN, the first 17 minutes of the game have been revealed. Those who love the show will recognize part of it, but there’s also some adjustments. For example, Goku battles Piccolo in a shadow battle to get things going on a more action note and a fishing game to give you an idea of the type of minigames you’ll have access to. Check it out below.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot releases on January 17th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Make sure you have the space for the game as there will be a pretty sizable update patch on day one.
