Dragon Quest PlayStation Announcement Coming Soon

What in the world could this be?

Dragon Quest Monsters 2

For nearly a decade now, Dragon Quest has had no presence on PlayStation systems; the last game released for PlayStation was Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, in 2005. Since then, Square Enix have released all Dragon Quest games, including Dragon Quest IX and Dragon Quest X, for Nintendo platforms. However, things have started to change recently- Dragon Quest Heroes released on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, and Dragon Quest Heroes 2 was recently announced. Now, it seems like series creator Yuji Horii is hinting at a PlayStation Dragon Quest announcement coming soon.

As for what this announcement could be is currently unknown- it could just a Dragon Quest compilation or remaster collection. It may very well be a full fledged Dragon Quest XI, though that is unlikely, as Enix always goes with the highest selling platform for Dragon Quest games, and the highest selling system in Japan is, by a long shot, the Nintendo 3DS.

What exactly this is, we do not know yet. But whatever it is sounds exciting- we will keep you posted.
